Abstract

The purpose of this research study is to carry out a treatment of job performance from a brief theoretical perspective. This conceptually is described as those actions and behaviors carried out by the workers that help to achieve the proposed objectives for the success of their companies. The Campbell model aims to have the main components to measure performance in a comprehensive way and thus be able to help formulate strategies aimed at achieving business objectives. A conclusive definition considers work performance as integrated systems aimed at developing the effectiveness and success of organizations, which are actions that generate value for the company through its dimensions: performance of the task and achievement of the tasks according to the knowledge that contributes to the organization directly or indirectly; Counterproductive behaviors, such as deliberate acts that occur voluntarily that are beneficial to the worker and contextual performance, which are spontaneous and individual behaviors that exceed what is expected for their position, these are important for achieving the desired results in organizations.
